Which tech gift suits which purpose

A power bank suits people who travel or work on the move. A wireless charger is a good desk gift, because the phone charges when you set it on the charger. Charging cables and multi-cables are small and light, so they are suitable for handing out at trade fairs and events.

Headphones and speakers suit staff gifts, as they are also used in free time. Computer accessories such as webcam covers, mice, USB-C cables and USB sticks suit remote work.

Power bank capacity

Power bank capacity is given in milliamp hours (mAh). The range includes power banks from pocket-sized 2,200 mAh models to 20,000 mAh models. A small 4,000–5,000 mAh model fits in a pocket and gives the phone extra power during the day. A 10,000–20,000 mAh model is larger and heavier, but it lasts for a longer trip.

Less energy always reaches the phone than the power bank's rated capacity, because part of the energy turns into heat when the voltage is converted and the battery is charged. That is why a 5,000 mAh power bank will not fully charge a 5,000 mAh phone battery. When comparing a power bank with a phone battery, choose a slightly larger model.

A magnetic power bank attaches to a phone that has a magnetic mount or a magnetic case. Some models have wireless charging, a solar panel or a bamboo casing.

Charging: USB-C, power and wireless charging

Under the EU common charger directive, new phones, tablets, cameras, headphones, portable speakers and many other small devices must have a USB-C charging port from 28 December 2024. The same requirement applies to laptops from 28 April 2026. Devices placed on the market before these dates may still be sold. Power banks and wireless chargers are not covered by the directive.

Charging power is given in watts (W). The higher the power, the faster the device charges, provided the device also supports the same power. USB Power Delivery (PD) is the fast-charging standard for USB-C. A cable's rating tells how much power it can carry: the range includes 60 W and 100 W charging cables.

A wireless charger charges a phone that supports Qi charging. The wireless chargers in the range are mostly 10 W or 15 W. Qi2 is a newer standard in which the charger attaches to the phone with a magnet. However, not all magnetic chargers are Qi2 certified. If you need a Qi2 charger, tell us in your quote request and we will check the model.

Power banks when flying

According to Traficom's guidance, a power bank is always packed in hand luggage. You may take up to two power banks on a flight, and each may have a capacity of no more than 100 Wh. You may not use a power bank to charge devices during the flight, and you may not charge it from the aircraft's socket. Also check the airline's own rules before travelling.

If a power bank is marked only with milliamp hours, you can calculate the watt hours as follows: mAh × voltage (V) / 1,000. The voltage is usually 3.6–3.85 V. For example, at 3.7 V, 10,000 mAh is about 37 Wh and 20,000 mAh about 74 Wh. If the product is marked with watt hours, use that figure. Most of the power banks in the range are 2,200–20,000 mAh, well below the 100 Wh limit.

Speakers and headphones

The battery life of portable speakers is usually 2–9 hours. A small 3 W speaker suits a desk or a hotel room, while a 10 W or more powerful speaker suits outdoor use. An IPX7-rated speaker withstands brief immersion in water.

Headphones come in wireless and wired versions, and many models have a folding headband, so they travel easily in a bag. Active noise cancelling (ANC) reduces ambient noise, which helps in an open-plan office and when travelling. Fully wireless earbuds come with a charging case in which the earbuds charge.

Logo on a tech product

On tech products the print area is often small, so a simple logo works best. The marking method depends on the product's material. The price includes a one-colour print in one position, and we will tell you the method and the print area in the quote.

How to order

Most products are ordered from 50 pcs. Add the products to the quote basket and send a quote request. With one request you can get a quote for several products. In the quote request, tell us the quantities and the desired delivery date, and attach the logo if it is ready. The lead time is given in the quote.

Frequently asked questions

Can I take a power bank on an aeroplane?

Yes, but only in hand luggage. According to Traficom's guidance, you may take up to two power banks on a flight, each with a capacity of no more than 100 Wh, and you may not use a power bank to charge devices during the flight. Also check your airline's own rules.

How many times does a power bank charge a phone?

It depends on the phone's battery and on charging losses. Less energy always reaches the phone than the power bank's rated capacity, so a 5,000 mAh power bank will not fully charge a 5,000 mAh phone battery. The range includes power banks from 2,200 to 20,000 mAh.

Does a wireless charger work with all phones?

A wireless charger charges a phone that supports Qi charging. Check the phone's specifications for support. Not all magnetic chargers are Qi2 certified, so tell us in your quote request if you need a Qi2 charger.

Do speakers and headphones charge with USB-C?

Under the EU common charger directive, new speakers and headphones must have a USB-C charging port from 28 December 2024. Devices placed on the market before this date may still be sold, so check the port on the product page or ask in your quote request.

How is a logo applied to a tech product?
