Workwear for different fields
For restaurants and kitchens there are chef jackets with short and long sleeves and aprons, for example full-length, half-length and denim models. More aprons can be found in the Aprons group. For healthcare there are medical coats, tunics, shirts and trousers, and many models come in a women's version.
For other work there are work trousers and work vests. Some work trousers have pockets for knee pads and a reflective strip. A hairdresser's cape and a waterproof apron suit hair salons. Material and washing
Many items of workwear are a polyester and cotton blend, for example 65% polyester and 35% cotton, and in some models the polyester is recycled. Aprons are also available in cotton. Brands include Karlowsky, Roly and Payper.
The product description of many models gives the washing temperature: for example, some healthcare garments and work vests withstand washing at 95 degrees, and many aprons washing at 60 degrees. If the garments are washed at a high temperature, state the washing temperature in the quote request so that the print method can be chosen accordingly.
What the price includes
The price on the product page excludes VAT, but it includes a one-colour print in one position. For batches of fewer than 100 pcs the price includes transfer print: the image is printed on a transfer sheet and fixed to the fabric with heat. Transfer print is at most A6 in size (105 x 148 mm). For batches of 100 pcs or more the price includes screen print, with a size of up to A4. In screen print a dark garment needs a white base colour, which is priced as a second colour.
The quote prices additional colours, other print positions, a larger image and embroidery. The minimum order quantity is 10 pcs, and different sizes of the same model can be ordered in the same order. In the quote request, state the quantity of each size and the position where the logo goes. Print methods are described on the Print methods page.
Workwear and taxation
Workwear provided by the employer does not create a taxable benefit for the employee when uniform clothing for the staff is necessary for the work, for example so that the staff stand out from customers. The garment must clearly stand out from customers' clothing, for example through the company logo, and it must not be used in leisure time. In addition, the garment must remain the property of the employer. The conditions are set out in the Finnish Tax Administration's guidance Henkilökuntaedut verotuksessa, section 2.5.
