Promotional textiles by use

A t-shirt suits an event or a campaign. Light cotton shirts come in many colours, some models in over 30 colours, and there are technical polyester shirts for sports events. A polo shirt and a collared shirt suit customer service, shops and trade fairs. Collared shirts are available, for example, in oxford, poplin and denim fabric, with short or long sleeves. The Workwear group includes chef's jackets, aprons, medical coats and work trousers, among other items. To go with a work outfit, the range also includes sweatpants, jeans and shorts.

According to the guidance of the Finnish Tax Administration, work clothes provided by the employer do not create a taxable benefit for the employee when uniform clothing for the staff is necessary because of the nature of the work. The clothes must then stand out clearly from the customers' clothing, for example thanks to the logo, they must not be worn in leisure time, and the employer must retain ownership of them.

Jackets and vests suit outdoor work and cold weather, such as softshell, fleece, padded and rain jackets, and for winter the logo can also be put on a beanie. A cap suits summer events. Towels, saunawear and aprons suit hotels, spas and kitchens, as do beach sandals and flip-flops.

A hoodie or sweatshirt suits as a gift for a customer or for staff, because it is also worn in leisure time. A promotional gift given to a customer can be regarded as customary in taxation when its purchase price including VAT is at most 50 euros. The limit applies to the price including tax, but the prices on the product pages are excluding VAT: at the 25.5% VAT rate, 50 euros corresponds to a price of 39.84 euros excluding VAT. A jacket, for example, may exceed the limit. Gifts given to staff are subject to their own rules, and both are covered in the article Taxation of corporate gifts.

What the price includes

The price shown on the product page includes a one-colour print in one position and the setup cost, but not VAT. The price table shows the unit price at different quantities.

When the minimum order quantity of a model is 10 pieces, the price for batches of fewer than 100 pieces includes a heat transfer print: the image is printed onto a transfer sheet and fixed to the fabric with heat. The transfer print is at most A6 in size (105 x 148 mm). From a batch of 100 pieces upwards, the price includes a screen print, the size of which can be at most A4. In screen printing, a dark garment needs a white base colour, which is priced as a second colour.

The product description of many other models states the decoration method included in the price, for example screen print, heat transfer print or embroidery. A multicolour logo can also be made as a transfer print, and its price is given in the quote.

For example, in an order of 30 hoodies, when the minimum order quantity of the model is 10 pieces, the price includes a one-colour heat transfer print of up to A6 size in one position. The quote prices separately a second print position, extra colours, a larger image and embroidery on products where it is not included in the price.

Small and large batches

Polo shirts, workwear and children's clothing, for example, are ordered from 10 pieces, as are many t-shirts, hoodies, jackets and caps. A small batch is enough for a team or a small workplace. For other models the minimum order quantity is usually 25 or 50 pieces, as with hats, aprons and some of the beanies. The minimum order quantity of a model is shown on the product card and the product page.

The unit price falls as the quantity grows, and for models with a 10-piece minimum, the print included in the price changes to screen print from 100 pieces upwards. With one quote request you can get a quote for, for example, both t-shirts and hoodies, and the quote basket calculates an indicative total price for the order.

Print or embroidery

Print suits a large logo and a logo with small text, thin lines or several colours. In embroidery, the logo is made by stitching it into the fabric. It suits, for example, a small and simple logo on a polo shirt, jacket or cap, because small details do not always reproduce in thread. The price of embroidery is determined by the number of stitches, so a large and dense design costs more than a small one.

For some fleece and padded jackets and vests, embroidery is the decoration method included in the price, and this is stated in the product description. For other products you can ask about embroidery in the quote request: the quote states whether it is possible on the chosen model, and its price. The print methods are described in more detail on the Print methods page.

Material and fabric weight

Cotton is the most common material in t-shirts and polo shirts, and hoodies and sweatshirts are most often a blend of cotton and polyester, for example 80% cotton and 20% polyester. Most technical shirts and polo shirts are polyester or a blend of polyester and elastane, and they suit sports and exercise. There are models made of organic cotton among t-shirts, polo shirts and hoodies. Some models are made of a blend of recycled polyester and cotton, for example 65% recycled polyester and 35% cotton. Jackets are made of softshell and fleece fabric and other polyester fabrics, and for example some windbreakers are made of recycled polyester (rPET).

Fabric weight (g/m²) tells how much a square metre of fabric weighs: the higher the figure, the thicker the fabric. Most of the t-shirts in the range weigh 150–190 g/m², the lightest technical shirts 110–140 g/m² and the thickest cotton shirts 200–250 g/m². Polo shirts weigh 140–230 g/m², and in hoodies and sweatshirts the most common weight is 280–300 g/m².

Sizes and size distribution

The size range depends on the model. T-shirts and hoodies come in sizes from XXS to 5XL, but the largest sizes are often available only in some of the colours. Many shirts and hoodies also have a women's version, and some are unisex models. Children's sizes are found in the Children's clothing group and in some adult models, and they are marked in years, for example 2–12, or as height, for example 98–152 cm.

Collect the size requests before the quote request and state in the request the number of pieces in each size, for example S 4, M 8, L 6 and XL 2. Different sizes can be ordered in the same order. Because printed clothes cannot be returned, check the size distribution before ordering.

How to order

Add the chosen models to the quote basket and send the request. State in it the size distribution, colours and desired delivery date, and where the logo goes. You can attach the logo to the request straight away or send it later. We reply within one working day, and a quote request does not commit you to an order. The quote is valid for 30 days, and it shows the price with print and the lead time.

Before production you receive a print proof for approval. Production starts once the proof has been approved. The lead time for printed products is usually about 2 weeks from the approval of the proof. The exact lead time is given in the quote.

The terms of delivery give no right of return for products marked with a logo, and they allow a 10% variation in quantity in either direction: for example, from an order of 50 shirts, 45–55 shirts may be delivered and invoiced. If there is anything to report about the delivery, notify us within 8 days of the products arriving. The invoice is paid within 14 days of its date. The terms are collected on the Terms of delivery page.
