Ceramic mug, thermal mug or enamel mug

The ceramic mugs are made of stoneware and porcelain, from a 40 ml espresso cup to a 500 ml mug. Many of them are packed individually in a cardboard box, so they are easy to hand out as gifts. A double-walled steel thermal mug keeps the drink warm on the commute, and many models have a leak-proof lid. The thermal mugs range from 220 ml cups to mugs of over a litre. The outer surface of a single-walled take away mug can become hot, so a double-walled model is better suited to hot drinks.

Some of the glass mugs are double-walled borosilicate glass, and the glass take away mug has a silicone lid. The enamel mugs range from 200 to 550 ml, and for trips there are two kuksas, one made of PP plastic and one of wood composite. Reusable festival mugs and plastic glasses suit events. Steel thermos flasks have their own group, Termospullot.

Print, engraving or sublimation

On most ceramic mugs, the print included in the price is done as pad print, meaning the logo is transferred to the mug with a soft pad. On steel mugs, the marking included in the price is usually laser engraving. Laser engraving is also possible on ceramic mugs that have a coating made for it. A full-colour image or a photograph is printed by sublimation on mugs that have a coating made for sublimation. The methods are presented on the page Painomenetelmät.

Instead of a logo, a name, a greeting or other text can also be printed on the mug. The price on the product page covers a one-colour print in one position, and the price of, for example, a second colour or printing on the other side of the mug is given in the quote. Before production you approve a proof, on which you check the text, its position and its size.

Does the print withstand machine washing

Resistance to machine washing depends on the mug and the printing method, and it is stated in the product description when the information is available. The description of several ceramic mugs states the difference: a ceramic transfer print withstands machine washing, but pad print only hand washing. Some mugs are stated to withstand at least 125 machine washes, print included. Some enamel mugs do not withstand machine washing, and some mugs are not suitable for the microwave oven. If the mugs will be washed in a dishwasher, tell us in the quote request.

How many mugs should you order

Mugs are usually ordered in a minimum of 50 pcs. Some of the thermal mugs can be ordered from 25 pcs, and some of the stoneware mugs and glasses are ordered from 72 or 96 pcs. The minimum order quantity for plastic glasses is 120–300 pcs. The unit price falls with larger batches, and the prices are tiered on the product page. The lead time for printed products is usually about 2 weeks from proof approval. Tell us the desired delivery date in the quote request.
