Safety reflectors

A reflector with your own logo is suited for giving to customers, staff, schoolchildren and club members. The group includes soft reflectors, hard reflectors and slap bands, and a reflector can also be made in a custom shape. A pedestrian reflector is personal protective equipment that must be type-examined and CE marked, and the current standard is EN 17353. The minimum order quantity is 100–500 pcs depending on the model, so choose the model according to the quantity. The price on the product page includes a one-colour print in one position and is shown excluding VAT.

Choose a reflector by quantity

The minimum order quantity is shown on each product card. Depending on the quantity you order, the options are, for example:

  • From 100 pcs: hard reflectors, for example bear, cat, car and snowflake, and soft reflectors in over a hundred standard shapes
  • From 200 pcs: slap bands, more soft reflector shapes and a reflector in a custom shape
  • From 500 pcs: more hard reflector shapes

The product page shows the unit price at different quantities, and the price falls as the quantity grows. For some soft reflectors, orders under 500 pcs carry a setup cost, which is included in the unit price shown on the product page. According to the manufacturers' instructions, at least two reflectors are worn, one on each side of the body. Take this into account when calculating the quantity to give out. Small batches suit, for example, a club or a day-care centre, and large ones a customer giveaway.

State the delivery date you want in the quote request. The lead time for printed products is usually about 2 weeks from proof approval. The lead time for products made to order is usually about 4 weeks from proof approval.

Soft, hard or slap band reflector

The film of a soft reflector is most often white or fluorescent yellow. The logo is usually printed under the film on one or both sides, which keeps the reflective surface as large as possible. A soft reflector can also be made in a custom shape. A hard reflector is made of plastic and comes in up to ten colours. The logo is applied to the surface of a hard reflector as a screen print or digital print, and the print may cover at most one third of the reflector. For a hanging reflector, the fastener can be, for example, a ball chain, a cord with a safety pin, a clip or a snap lock. A slap band needs no fastener, as it wraps around the wrist or upper arm. Two-sided print and several colours are priced in the quote.

Reflector requirements

A pedestrian reflector is personal protective equipment. Before it is sold, it must be type-examined by a notified body and marked with the CE marking, and instructions for use in Finnish and Swedish must be included. In the type examination, the standard requires, among other things, the luminous intensity and surface area of the reflector to be measured. The requirements also apply to reflectors that are given away free of charge. The manufacturers of the reflectors we sell hold an EU type-examination certificate for them. The certificate is valid for at most five years, so also check its validity. Ask for the product certificate and the EU declaration of conformity in your quote request. Reflector or reflective product

The group also includes reflective products, such as keyrings, clips, stickers, travel card holders and LED lights. They have not been type-examined as personal protective equipment, so they are not reflectors. They are suitable as promotional products, but a reflector is also needed in traffic. When you give them out, do not call the products reflectors. Reflective vests are in the group Heijastinliivit.
