Home and kitchen

Corporate gifts with a logo for the home and kitchen are everyday products: mugs, thermos flasks and water bottles, as well as serving items and kitchen accessories. Christmas products, blankets and candles suit seasonal remembrances, and the group also includes wellness products, lip balms and promotional sweets. On steel bottles and mugs the logo is usually laser engraved, and on ceramic mugs it is printed. The product pages state the material, the size or capacity and, in most cases, how the logo is applied.

Most products are ordered from 50 pcs. Prices are shown excluding VAT and include a one-colour logo print in one position. Add products to the quote basket and state the quantities, colours and desired delivery date in the quote request. Several products can be combined in one quote request.

Mug, thermal mug or water bottle

A ceramic mug suits the office coffee room and meetings, and many ceramic mugs are packed individually in a cardboard box or gift box. For commuting and the car, a thermal mug with a lid is the choice, and for a longer day a hot drink travels in a thermos flask. A single-walled take away mug may become warm on the outside during use. A water bottle suits sports, trips and events, and for public events there are also reusable festival mugs.

You drink straight from a thermal mug, and the lid often has a sliding drinking opening or a straw. On some models the cap of a thermos flask works as a cup, and some thermos flasks are sold together with two mugs.

The largest group of mugs are ceramic mugs, made of stoneware or porcelain. Steel mugs and double-walled thermos flasks are made of stainless steel. Glass mugs come in ordinary glass and borosilicate glass, and some of them are double-walled. Enamel mugs are enamel-coated metal. Water bottles are made of steel, glass, Tritan plastic and RPET plastic, and glass bottles come in ordinary soda-lime glass and borosilicate glass.

The most common capacity of a mug is 300–350 ml, and larger mugs hold 400–500 ml. The most common size of water bottles and thermos flasks is 500 ml, and thermos flasks range from 300 ml to 1.5 litres. There is also a one-litre thermos jug. A single-walled steel bottle does not insulate against heat, so for a hot drink choose a double-walled bottle or mug.

Logo on a mug and a bottle

On ceramic mugs the print included in the price is most often pad print, where a soft pad presses the logo onto the curved surface. On steel thermal mugs, thermos flasks and water bottles the logo is usually laser engraved. The engraving is made into the material itself, so an engraved logo is one colour. Some ceramic mugs are coated so that they can be engraved as well. Wood and bamboo are natural materials, so their shade and size vary slightly, and this may show in the engraving. Many product pages state the number of print positions or the maximum print area.

A full-colour image or photograph can be printed on mugs and bottles coated for sublimation. As the price includes a one-colour print in one position, the price of additional colours and a second print position is given in the quote. The differences between the methods are collected on the page Print methods. In addition to or instead of a logo, a text can be printed on the product, for example a greeting. The logo or text appears in the proof before production, so its position and size can still be checked.

Washing and use

Dishwasher durability depends on the product and the print method. The product information of many ceramic mugs states that pad print withstands hand washing only, while a ceramic transfer print withstands machine washing. According to the product information, some mugs withstand at least 125 dishwasher cycles including the print, and some enamel mugs do not withstand machine washing at all.

Microwave resistance also varies from model to model. Some glass, Tritan and RPET bottles are not suitable for carbonated drinks. This information is in the product description when it has been provided. Mention in the quote request if the products will be washed in a dishwasher, and it will be taken into account in the quote. The carabiner hooks on bottles and mugs are not intended for climbing.

Use with food

Under the EU framework regulation on food contact materials (EC) No 1935/2004, materials that come into contact with food must not transfer their constituents to the food in quantities that could endanger human health. A mug or water bottle does not need a food-use marking, such as the glass and fork symbol, because by their nature they are clearly intended to come into contact with food. The material of the product is stated on the product page. A declaration of conformity, that is, a written statement that the product meets the requirements for food contact materials, can be requested in the quote request.

Gifts for the kitchen and home

Serving items include cutting boards and cheese boards made of bamboo and acacia wood, coasters, and coffee and tea accessories, and on wooden boards the logo is usually laser engraved. Wine accessories include wine and cocktail sets, corkscrews and stone ice cubes, and kitchen accessories include, for example, salt and pepper mills, cheese slicers and kitchen scales.

The Blankets group includes fleece and polar blankets, picnic blankets and travel pillows. Candles include scented and wax candles as well as scent diffusers, and on most of them the logo is laser engraved. Wellness products include, for example, stress toys, manicure sets, makeup mirrors and slippers. Ready-made gift sets include, for example, a fleece blanket with two mugs and a thermos flask with mugs.

Lunch boxes range from plastic boxes of 0.5–1.2 litres to a glass food container, and bottle openers come in bamboo and metal. Promotional sweets include mint pastilles and heart-shaped sweets in dispensers and boxes, as well as jelly bean sweets and chocolate pastilles in glass jars.

Christmas gifts and taxation

According to the guidance of the Finnish Tax Administration, a gift given to customers can be an ordinary promotional gift when its purchase price including VAT is at most 50 euros. A minor gift, other than money, given to the whole staff is tax-exempt for the employee when the combined value of the gifts is at most 100 euros a year. The prices on the product pages exclude VAT, and for example a price of 39.84 euros excluding VAT rises to 50 euros with 25.5 % VAT. The article Taxation of corporate gifts goes through the rules with calculation examples, and the page Christmas gifts for companies has gift ideas for customers and staff.

How to order

The minimum order quantity is 50 pcs for most products, and the quantity for each product is shown on the product page. A quote request needs the quantities, colours, logo position and desired delivery date, and the products are first collected in the quote basket. Mugs, bottles and Christmas gifts, for example, can be combined in the same request, and the logo can be attached straight away or supplied later. Quote requests are answered within one working day, and ordering does not require registration.

The unit price falls as the quantity grows, and the prices for different quantities are in the price table on the product page. According to the terms of delivery, products marked accordingly may be delivered and invoiced in a quantity up to 10 % larger or smaller than ordered, and they carry no right of return. If you need an exact quantity, state it in the quote request.

Before production you receive a print proof for approval. Production starts once the proof has been approved. The lead time for printed products is usually about 2 weeks from proof approval. The exact lead time is stated in the quote.
